The two sides will lock horns in a match that has an effect on the battle against relegation, in which APS are active participants.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Pamzo explained why he has full confidence that his team will pick maximum points from the encounter.

“They beat us 4-2 in the first leg, but since then, we have really improved and are therefore confident of maximum points in the second leg.

Our destiny is in our own hands, and we must influence it for the better. We only need to win our games and not worry about others,” said Pamzo.

Securing their survival remains top of Pamzo's plans, having been promoted at the start of the season, with this being their debut campaign in the top flight.

“Everyone in the team knows that we are working towards retaining our league status, and that is the mindset we are taking to our game against KCB.

Winning back-to-back matches have also helped to build confidence in the players. We have improved both individually and as a team. The urge to remain in the league is also a big motivation to the players,” explained Pamzo.

“Players have also learnt from the mistakes that we made earlier in the season. The last six games, for instance, we have only conceded one goal,” he added.

The former Gor Mahia coach also played down the notion of his team being under pressure, taking time to explain how they have been approaching their recent matches.

“We do not have any pressure at all heading into the match. I do not put players under pressure. I just tell them to get out there, enjoy themselves with freedom and that brings results,”

Nonetheless, Pamzo, who is also a former KCB FC coach, acknowledged the prowess of his opponents ahead of the Wednesday afternoon clash.

“I am expecting a very tough match from KCB. They are a good side and will draw confidence from their victory in the Mozzart Bet Cup,” he remarked.
