One of the biggest talents in European football extended his deal with Bayern Munich until 2030

The rumours of the past few months have today been confirmed - Jamal Musiala stays at Bayern after extending his contract until 2030. That way, the Bavarians tied another vital player with a new deal after doing the same with the captain Manuel Neuer and Alphonso Davies.

As for Musiala's extension, the main "stumbling block" was the release clause, as the Bavarians refused to include it in the deal immediately. Ultimately, Bayern got their way, given that the aforementioned clause would come into force only in 2028, when it would amount to €175 million, while during the German's last year of the contract, it would be worth €75 million less. Either way, the Bundesliga side can be at peace for the next three years, which has been their primary wish.

"I'm really happy. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I took my first steps in professional football here and firmly believe we can achieve something big with this club in the coming years. I feel at home both in Munich and at the club with our great fans. We've got a lot of things we want to achieve. I'm excited for everything that's to come," said the 21-year-old for the club's official website.

Yet, Bayern have another critical matter to solve, as the final piece of the "extension puzzle" is still "out of its place." Namely, Joshua Kimmich still hasn't signed a new contract and could become a free agent next June if he refuses to do so in the meantime.
