The Glamour Boys were smiling all the way to the bank after raking in a staggering Ksh 1,529,000 from ticket sales.

The Kisii-based side confirmed the impressive figures through an official update on their social media platforms shortly after the clash.

The amount marked a notable increase of Ksh 107,700 compared to their previous home match collection, against Ulinzi Stars, which stood at Ksh 1,421,300.

On the pitch, Shabana lived up to the expectations, delivering a thrilling display that left their fans in jubilation.

It was a baptism of fire for league debutants APS Bomet, who struggled to contain Shabana’s relentless attacking play from the first whistle.

Danger man Brian Michira set the tone early, capitalizing on a loose ball in the visitors’ penalty area to give Shabana the lead just two minutes into the game.

The Harambee Stars forward doubled his tally in the 12th minute, coolly slotting home from the penalty spot after a defensive blunder.

Nine minutes later, Shabana turned the screws tighter. Rising Kenya U-20 talent Ezekiel Omuri forced an own goal with a ferocious strike that left the Bomet defense in disarray, stretching the lead to 3–0 inside 21 minutes.

Despite the early setback, APS Bomet showed character.

Goalkeeper Bob Cetric stepped up in the 36th minute to convert a penalty, pulling one back for the newcomers before halftime.

In the second half, substitute Hansel Ochieng breathed fresh life into the contest with a stunning 25-yard free-kick, narrowing the deficit to 3–2 and setting up a tense finish.

However, Shabana’s resilience shone through.

In added time, substitute Derrick Otieno pounced on a rebound from Cetric’s fumble to seal the match at 4–2, ensuring that the points stayed in Kisii.

With the win, Shabana climbed to the top of the FKF Premier League standings, level on three points with KCB, Bidco United, and Ulinzi Stars, but leading on superior goal difference.
