Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba has named her final 23-player squad for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament, with Simba Queens duo Jentrix Shikangwa and Elizabeth Wambui among the key players missing from the squad.

Kenya is set to compete in the Four Nations Tournament alongside Zimbabwe, Lesotho and hosts Zambia from Saturday, 6 to Tuesday, 9 June at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Ahead of the tournament, Odemba had expressed fears over the possible absence of key players in the team and particularly directed her frustrations at Tanzanian giants Simba Queens over what she termed as the selective release of players.
While Odemba was tight-lipped on the exact players in question, her final squad has no place for either Shikangwa or Wambui.
In a letter seen by Mozzart Sport, Simba requested that Kenya omit the duo from the squad due to injuries.
According to Simba, Wambui is suffering from right Achilles tendon pain resulting from overuse and repetitive loading during sporting activities and requires at least three weeks of rehabilitation in order to return to full fitness.

Shikangwa, on the other hand, had pain in her right ankle, which has reduced mobility and causes discomfort during weight-bearing activities and would take two weeks of conservative medical management to recover.

The duo join Romania-based duo of goalkeeper Lilian Awuor and defender Enez Mango, who did not honour their call-ups due to work permit-related issues in Europe.
However, Odemba will be able to call on the services of Simba Queens attacking midfielder Fasila Adhiambo as well as captain Mwanalima Adam, who linked up with the squad before their departure to Zambia on Wednesday, 3 June.
