So what if they've already won Scudetto? Unforgiving Inter humble Lazio

The Nerazzurri killed the game off even before the break and gave no chance to the team from the Italian capital - 3-0

The race for the Scudetto in the Serie A is over, as Inter Milan have been crowned. Pisa are relegated, and Hellas Verona are dangerously close to joining them in Serie B next season, so the only open questions remaining are the third traveller to the second division and the full list of Italian representatives in the Champions League.

Given that the Nerazzurri's mission for the current Serie A campaign has been accomplished, many considered Lazio capable of snatching at least a point in the clash against the champions at Stadio Olimpico.

And they couldn't have been more wrong!

Despite being able to relax after winning their 21st title, Inter approached the duel against the Eagles very seriously, and the result came naturally. The Romans did not stand a chance, as Cristian Chivu's men easily brushed them aside - 3-0

The Nerazzurri established dominance from the first referee's whistle and killed the game off even before the break, thanks to Lautaro Martinez, who broke the deadlock in the sixth minute and Petar Sucic, who doubled his team's lead 33 minutes later with a beautiful strike outside the box.

To make matters worse for Lazio, their centre-back Alessio Romagnoli was sent off a minute before the hour mark due to a horrendous tackle on Ange-Yoan Bonny, killing any lingering hopes of the home side escaping defeat.

The visitors further exploited the numerical advantage to score another goal through Henrikh Mkhitaryan and put a cherry on top of their fantastic performance at Stadio Olimpico.
