The midfielder ended up playing for 22 minutes, this becoming his second consecutive appearance for Celta Vigo B, without scoring.
Kibet, who also features for the team’s U19 side, also came off the bench in Celta Vigo B’s 1-1 draw against Pontevedra on Saturday, 25 April playing for 19 minutes.
Prior to that game, Kibet hit personal milestone for the U19s, scoring five times in his team’s resounding 13-0 victory over SD Solares U19 at the A Madroa Stadium.
That win propelled Celta Vigo U19 to winning the league title, and earning promotion to the Copa de Campeones Juvenil de Futbol, a division that brings together the seven winners of the División de Honor, and the best runner-up.
After 35 games, Celta B is still on course to be promoted to the country’s second tier - La Liga 2.
The side, coached by Alfredo Alvarez Paredes, is currently in the playoffs bracket, to decide the team that will join the Primera RFEF leaders in securing promotion.
Scriven off the mark
Elsewhere in Norway, Kenyan forward Alfred Scriven was on target as Bryne FK drew 3-3 with Sogndal in the OBOS Ligaen at the Bryne Stadion on Friday, 1 May.
Scriven, 28, was on the scoresheet in the 13th minute, as the hosts broke out to a 3-0 lead, before conceding thrice - including twice in two stoppage time minutes - to extend the team’s winless run this season to five games.
The goal was Scriven’s first this season, and his first since 8 March, when he scored once in Bryne’s 4-2 win over Rosenborg in the last 16 of the NM Cup.
The point for Bryne saw them move a place up above Raufoss to 14th place on the log.
