The Cherries want to sign the new Grealish and annoy Lopetegui in the process

Bournemouth is currently negotiating with Bristol City over a potential $32 million transfer for their talented midfielder Alex Scott. The boy dubbed as the new Jack Grealish has been in exceptional form over the past year and has reportedly become the high-priority target for Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui. This development is likely to disappoint the former Sevilla coach, as Scott is reportedly close to sealing a move to another Premier League club.

Bristol City, who play in the Championship, have already rejected two offers from Wolves earlier this transfer window and have remained firm on their valuation of $32 million. Bournemouth appear to be pressing ahead with their efforts to finalize a deal which would put Lopetegui's top transfer target out of reach as Wolves struggle to comply with FFP regulations.

The 19-year-old Scott has earned the nickname Guernsey Grealish and is currently under contract with a team managed by Nigel Pearson. He has received praise from Manchester City's Pep Guardiola and $130 million-rated forward Jack Grealish after their FA Cup tie in February.

Scott had an impressive campaign at Ashton Gate last season, making 42 league appearances as Bristol City finished 14th in the EFL Championship.

Pearson has made it clear that the club's valuation of $32 million must be met if Scott is to leave, stating that they would even consider raising it to $38 million after seeing Scott's performances during pre-season. Despite this, Bournemouth continue to pursue the deal, having already made several signings ahead of the new season. The Cherries have recruited Ivorian midfielder Hamed Traore, Milos Kerkez, Justin Kluivert, Romain Faivre and Ionut Radu.
