KCB FC assistant coach Paul Ogai has slammed the team’s attackers over their wastefulness in front of goal, witnessed in their 2-0 defeat to Nairobi United.
The two teams met on Thursday, 15 January at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani, with goals from Duncan Omala and Ovella Ochieng condemning the Bankers to their sixth defeat of the season.

The 2024 Mozzart Bet Cup finalists, once again, created clear-cut chances, especially in the first half, but neither Kelvin Etemesi, David Sakwa, nor Richard Omondi could convert..
Speaking to Mozzart Sport after the match, Ogai could not hide his disappointment with his forward line.
“I think our attackers need to step up. They are in deep slumber. If you look at the chances that we created in the first half, for example, they were enough for us to win the game.
I tend to think Nairobi United gave us an easy time in the first half and we ought to have taken advantage of that,” said Ogai.
The former Coast Stima tactician went on to lament the poor performance displayed by the attackers.
“Unfortunately, we could not take them and conceded against the run of play. Our attackers let us down. It is an area that we cannot sugarcoat things on,” he added.
The former Darajani Gogo tactician was in pain explaining the level of commitment between his team's forwards and that of 21-year-old Omala, who gave Naibois the lead in the 44th minute.
“You look at how Omala scored their first goal, it was a simple touch to put the ball in space and finish it. That is what we are lacking in our team.
I think experienced players need to show it. Omalla is a first timer in the league and is scoring. Why can't our players do the same?” he posed.
With the transfer window open, Ogai revealed that the club is working around the clock to bring in prolific strikers.
