The defender considers the Nigerian forward as one of the most difficult attackers he has faced in the Serie A
Fikayo Tomori admits Ademola Lookman has been one of the toughest opponents he's faced in Serie A, and says he's relieved the Nigerian forward never ended up at Inter.
The Milan centre-back will not have to worry about facing his friend in tonight's Derby della Madonnina against Inter. Lookman was close to joining the Nerazzurri last year, but Atalanta refused to sell to a domestic rival for less than €50 million.
The Nigerian international stayed in Bergamo for the first half of the season before eventually moving to Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.
Speaking in an interview with The Athletic, Tomori named Lookman among the most difficult attackers he has faced during his five years at San Siro.
Off the pitch, however, the two share a good relationship - and Tomori even joked with Lookman when the Inter transfer collapsed.
"I spoke to him when he stayed [at Atalanta], and I said: 'If you went to Inter, we wouldn't have been friends anymore,'" the English defender said with a smile.
