Tusker’s triumph over the embattled Nzoia lifted them to seventh on the log with 22 points nine behind leaders Gor Mahia as they prepare to tackle Kenya Police this Saturday in the final match of the year

Tusker midfielder Chris Erambo has expressed satisfaction and pride after scoring his maiden goal for the beer makers.

Erambo who joined the club at the start of the season from National Super League side Mombasa Elite played a key part in the brewers' 2-0 win against the struggling Nzoia Sugar.

Erambo struck to give Robert Matano’s charges the lead before the on-form Michael Odour added the second to seal all three points in a match that was halted for more than 15 minutes in the second stanza due to fans unrest at Sudi Stadium.

A section of the spectators hurled objects on the pitch after Substitute goalkeeper Daniel Omuse was sent off four minutes after the restart.

Omuse who was making his maiden Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) start since linking up with the Millers from third-division side Compel SC came off his line to handle Erick Kapaito’s ball and as the last man left the center referee with no option but to signal his marching orders.

Speaking after the match, Erambo was quick to thank his coaches for the Premier League exposure and added that he hopes to bang in more strikes to keep the goal-scoring momentum flowing.

I want to thank God because it has been good exposure in the top tier and to have scored my first goal in the Premier League feels nice,” said Erambo.

I was hoping I would get on the scoresheet in the previous matches, like against Posta Rangers a week ago but I think this is the right time and I pick from there.”

On his performance during the match, an elated Erambo said, “I have done well for 70 percent of the games and I hope to continue improving and not going below that.”

On his season’s target with the Ruaraka shrined Tusker, Erambo expressed his desire to help the club scale to higher heights in the league and reignite Matano’s troops' title hunt.

“My goal after opening my account here is to help the team get all three points and now we will continue building from there to ensure we get the name of the club back to where it belongs,” concluded the promising midfielder.

Tusker’s triumph over the embattled Nzoia lifted them to seventh on the log with 22 points nine behind leaders Gor Mahia as they prepare to tackle Kenya Police this Saturday in the final match of the year.
