Vlahovic still far from his Viola form, Danilo and Chiesa on target

It wasn't pretty but Juventus manage against Empoli away
Inter Milan and AC Milan are still errorless, Juventus are trailing behind the two because of that draw a week ago (against Bologna at home 1:1) and hold two points less. Last night, the Old Lady managed to break the resistance of Empoli (0-2), they didn't shine, but what is important for Max Allegri - they looked quite decent defensively and in 90 and some minutes the Bianconeri didn't allow a single shot on their goal.
The three points were not at risk, but if it could have been easier and faster to solve the question of the winner - it could have been. Dušan Vlahović is to blame for the fact that it wasn't like that. The Serbian international missed a penalty in the 39th minute, when he should have definitively 'broken' the rival.
Juve were already one goal up at that point thanks to a goal from Danilo, the Turin giants fully controlled things on the pitch, but Vlahović was not focused enough - Albanian veteran Etrit Berisha read his intention and saved the attempt from the spot.

Vlahović was not at the required level last night. Therefore, it is not surprising that Allegri subbed him already in the 71st minute. Just a few minutes before that, the Serb confirmed that this was not his night - Paul Pogba scored a nice goal with a volley, but the referee overruled it because it was Vlahovic who was in an offside position.
For the first time this season, another Serbian international from the ranks of Juventus also got minutes. Although statisticians claim that Filip Kostic created the most opportunities for his teammates last season, had the most assists, and created the greatest number of great opportunities, Allegri moved him to the bench. Tonight he was a starter for the first time and played the same amount of minutes as his countryman - until the 71st minute.
The game at the Carlo Castellini Stadium was decided by Federico Chiesa in the 82nd minute.
