Their next game sees them come up against defending champions Kenya Police on Sunday
APS Bomet head coach Michael Nam is not ready to hit the panic button following their poor start to life in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
Bomet are still waiting for their first win in the top tier, having lost two of their opening matches.
Days after absolving his players of any blame following their 4-2 defeat to Shabana in the past week, Nam once again watched his side fall 2-0 to Murang'a Seal last weekend.

Bomet trailed inside the first 15 minutes through a Joel Masibo own goal, before conceding late from a set piece to leave them winless and at the bottom of the log after two games.
Defeat this afternoon.

Speaking after the game, Nam who took over at the club in July, said they were a work in progress, and would not hasten to rule out their chances of bouncing back.
“My players put in the effort, but ultimately, the defensive lapses cost us the game,” the former Gor Mahia assistant coach said.
“Muranga Seal, who have been in the league longer, knew how to manage the tempo and the pressure, and blocked all channels that we could have penetrated through.”
Having taken much optimism from his side scoring twice on the opening day, Nam, though without the statistical evidence of a team showing improvement, drew perspective from the fact that APS Bomet had not yet hit all the right notes.
“It is a work in progress,” Nam said of his project and playing unit. “We just got promoted, and the team is still young in the league. We are building, and when we gel together through this experience, then we will start getting the results we need.”
Speaking to Mozzart Sport during preseason, Nam acknowledged that the team’s priority was to stay in the league at the end of the 2025-2026 season.
“We have hope that we will battle and get the points we need,” he added. “A bad start does not mean things will end badly. We will come back.”
On his defender (Masibo) heading a long punt from the opponents over his goalkeeper and into the net, he said: “It happens. I cannot blame the player; he tried to defend, but it deflected; it is normal.”
APS Bomet’s chance to change the direction of travel comes on Sunday, 5 October, when the league’s defending champions, Kenya Police, lie in wait at Gusii Stadium.
