Two matches are lined up for Saturday, 25 April, when Trinity Starlets take on Madira Soccer Assassins, while Zetech Sparks square it out with Bungoma Queens.
Heading into today's matches, Kenya Police Bullets remain at the top of the league with 46 points, two more than second placed Ulinzi Starlets, with Trinity coming a distant third with 34 points.
The relegation zone is occupied by Kisumu All Starlets, who are bottom of the log with -10 points, KISPED Queens with -5 points, and Gideon Starlets with 17 points.
Trinity Starlets vs Madira Soccer Assassins
Trinity Starlets will play host to Madira Soccer Assassins at their Comboni Polytechnic backyard from 1400 hrs.
Trinity will take to the pitch for the first time in almost a month, with their last match traced back to 29 March, a 2-0 loss to Ulinzi Starlets.
With four wins in their last five matches, Trinity head into the match full of confidence, in what is an improved season for the Gilgil-based side.
“We have had a good time preparing for the match. The long break has also helped our players who had injuries to recover and be ready for the match. We might experience some rustiness as a result of match fitness, but I believe we have what it takes to secure victory,” said Trinity coach Sylvanous Wesonga.
Madira, on the other hand, are fighting relegation, with only goal difference separating them from Gideon Starlets in the red zone, and therefore in desperate search for a win.
Zetech Sparks vs Bungoma Queens
In the other match of the day, Varsity side Zetech Sparks will face Bungoma Queens at the Zetech University Mang’u campus from 1500 hrs.
Placed sixth on the log, a win for sixth placed Zetech would push them to fourth on the log, while Bungoma would leapfrog Kayole to seventh if they manage to bag victory.
