Ahead of today's games, Gor Mahia are still at the top of the league table with 58 points, with their arch-rivals AFC Leopards following closely with 55 points, while Police FC close the top three with 47 points to their name.

At the other end of the table, Sofapaka are bottom with 17 points, and are joined in the relegation zone by Bidco United and Kariobangi Sharks with 23 and 26 points respectively.

Shabana vs Police

Shabana FC face Police FC at the Gusii Stadium from 1400 hrs, in what is the biggest highlight of today's action.

The game pits one of Kenya’s most supported clubs against the league depending champions, thus expected to be of high octane. This will also be the first of back to back meetings between the two clubs as they are set to battle it out again next weekend in the Mozzart Bet Cup quarter final.

Shabana head into the match after a win over Kakamega Homeboyz in their last league match, and will be keen to make it back to back wins in the Osborne Monday era.

Sitting fifth on the log with 46 points, The Glamour Boys will be targeting a top three spot at the end of the day, at the expense of Police, who have won four of their last five matches.

“We are ready for the match. The players have responded well to the philosophy that we are trying to implement and I believe having won our previous match against Police, we have an upper hand to do a double.

We ask fans to turn up in large numbers. The boys need encouragement from them to push and I also ask them to be patient with the boys even as they give their all to compete,” said Shabana assistant coach Monday.

Mathare United vs Nairobi United

2008 champions Mathare United will lock horns with Nairobi United at the Kasarani Annex from 1400 hrs.

The Slum Boys head into the match seeking to build on their 3-0 win over Bidco United in their last match, and improve on their current 12th position in the league.

Mathare will be encouraged by the fact that they have emerged victorious in all their three meetings with Nairobi United, including a 1-0 win in the first leg.

Naibois equally head into the match, full of confidence having staged a remarkable comeback, coming from two goals down to secure a 4-2 win over Murang'a Seal in their last match.

Assistant coach Sadique Ambani expressed confidence in the team’s ability to secure their first win over Mathare.

“The boys have trained well from the previous match, we have done the corrections that were needed from the last game. Hopefully the boys will be very positive against Mathare United,” said Ambani.

Naibois will also be banking on Michael Karamor to score goals with the Nigerian in great form, having already scored five goals in April, including a first half hat-trick against Seal.

Bandari FC vs Ulinzi Stars

Coastal outfit Bandari FC will battle it out with military side Ulinzi Stars at the Kwale Stadium from 1400 hrs.

The match is crucial to the fight against relegation where Ulinzi are directing all their arsenals in their quest for survival.

The 2010 league champions are currently 15th on the log with 28 points, two above Kariobangi Sharks in the relegation zone, and will be keen to build on the 3-2 win over KCB to get another victory that would push them closer to safety.

Bandari, on the other hand, will be pleased with how they shut down Gor Mahia in their last match, and will want to turn today's match into a win.

Kariobangi Sharks vs Murang’a Seal

In the last match of the day, Kariobangi Sharks will face Murang’a Seal at the Police Sacco Stadium from 1500 hrs.

Sharks once again find themselves in the red zone, and must secure a win if they are to increase their survival chances.

Having failed to win their last five matches, they will be targeting a win against a Seal side that is on a six-match winless run, including four consecutive losses.
