Winners will progress to semi-finals scheduled for 21 March and 11 April, before the final is staged on 23 May

Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad will be chasing redemption when the 2025/26 Enterprise Cup enters its in-country quarterfinal stage on Saturday, 7 February, with four fixtures lined up across the country.

The students travel to the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka to face KCB Rugby in what doubles up as a Thika Road Derby. Their last meeting on Saturday, 27 January ended in disappointment for Blak Blad after the Bankers handed them a 45–3 defeat.

With that result still fresh, Benard Rotich’s charges will be eager to produce a stronger showing and keep their title hopes alive.

Both sides advanced to the last eight without kicking a ball in the Round of 16, as KCB progressed via a walkover against Daystar University while Blak Blad benefitted from Mwamba RFC’s withdrawal. The fixture nonetheless promises intensity given the rivalry and recent history between the teams.

Elsewhere, defending champions Kabras Sugar RFC begin their title defence against Kenya Harlequin FC at the ASK Showground in Kakamega.

The holders, chasing a sixth Enterprise Cup crown, reached this stage after receiving a walkover against Impala RFC, while Quins earned their place through a convincing 29–5 win over Catholic Monks. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM as the revamped competition format approaches a decisive phase.

Attention will also turn to Nakuru, where the ASK Showground hosts an all-Nakuru derby between Menengai Oilers and Nakuru RFC. Both teams progressed under similar circumstances; Oilers through a 28–0 walkover over MMUST and Nakuru after South Coast Pirates failed to honour their fixture. With local bragging rights at stake, the encounter is expected to be one of the day’s fiercest battles.

In Nairobi, Nondescripts RFC welcome Strathmore Leos to Ngong Racecourse for another 4:00 PM kickoff. Nondies advanced via a walkover against Kisumu RFC, while Strathmore Leos showed resilience in their Round of 16 tie, rallying from behind to defeat Zetech Oaks 32–17 and book their quarterfinal spot.

This year’s Round of 16 was largely shaped by walkovers, allowing several Kenya Cup sides passage without competitive minutes, a factor that has influenced preparations heading into the weekend fixtures.

The 2025/26 edition of the Enterprise Cup is being played under a new format that expands regional competition. The four Kenyan teams emerging from the in-country quarterfinals will face four Ugandan sides in cross-border quarterfinal clashes.

Winners will progress to semi-finals scheduled for 21 March and 11 April, before the final is staged on 23 May.
