The 2025 National Sevens Circuit is heating up at the RFUEA Grounds, with giants KCB Rugby and Kabras Sugar set to clash in the Kabeberi 7s semifinals on Sunday, 7 September.
The meeting marks their second semifinal duel of the circuit, following their showdown at the Driftwood 7s, where KCB prevailed before going on to lift the title, while Kabras settled for third.

The highlight of the weekend belonged to Daystar University Falcons, who stormed into their maiden semifinal in the top-flight competition after stunning Menengai Oilers 24-19 in a thriller.
Daystar Falcons shock Menengai Oilers
The spirited Falcons forced turnovers, showed unmatched physicality, and held their nerve to eliminate one of the season’s most consistent sides.
Arnold Agonda led from the front with a brace of tries, as Eddy Wambugu also crossed the whitewash to cap a memorable upset.
Strathmore Leos whitewash Mombasa RFC
Strathmore Leos were equally ruthless in their quarterfinal, thrashing Mombasa RFC 36-0.
The Leos’ attacking trio of Victor Mola, Shem Okolla, and Nygel Amaitsa gave them a commanding first-half lead, before Arnold Muita, Barnabas Owuor, and Collins Maina piled on more tries in a one-sided contest.
Kabras through to semis
Kabras, stung by their Christie 7s disappointment at the same venue, responded with a statement performance to defeat Catholic Monks 20-5.
Matthias Osimbo opened the scoring before William Mwanji grabbed a brace and Biden Hayo added to the tally. The Monks managed a consolation through Hassan Wambani, the first try conceded by Kabras in this tournament.
KCB demolish hosts
KCB, meanwhile, brushed aside Mwamba RFC with a clinical 35-7 win, showcasing their depth and composure as they advanced to yet another semifinal.
With the stage set, the semifinal pairings promise fireworks: Kabras will renew their rivalry with KCB, while Daystar Falcons chase another upset when they face Strathmore Leos.
