The Hong Kong leg marks the first of three crucial tournaments in the World Championship Series, which will also include stops in Valladolid, Spain, and Bordeaux, France.

At the end of the circuit, the top eight teams will secure promotion to the 2026/27 HSBC SVNS Division One, while the bottom four will drop to Division II.

Shujaa head into the competition riding on a wave of confidence after sealing their place in the World Championship Series during the São Paulo leg of the HSBC SVNS 2.

Their campaign in Brazil showcased both resilience and attacking prowess.

They opened with a commanding 38-7 victory over Germany, before narrowly falling 14-12 to Belgium.

However, they responded emphatically with a 40-0 whitewash of Canada, a result that confirmed their qualification for the championship stage.

Building on that momentum, Shujaa impressed on day two, beating Uruguay 26-14 before edging out arch-rivals USA 31-14 to clinch bronze.

Their consistency has been evident throughout the season.

Before Brazil, Shujaa had already secured third-place finishes in both Nairobi and Montevideo, underlining their steady rise under the revamped SVNS format.
