
Lenana seeded first for Nairobi regional 7s school games

A total of 16 teams will be in action as they chase the two slots to the national finals set for early September in Nakuru County.
The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Nairobi regional sevens competition will take place on 27-28 August at the Lenana School with the hots seeded first in the two day competition.

Hosts and top seeds Lenana are in Pool A alongside Garden Estate, Lang’ata and Jamhuri while Ofafa Jericho headline Pool B where they will do battle with Dagoretti, Eastleigh and Hospital Hill.
“The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Nairobi regional sevens competition will take place on 27-28 August at the Lenana School. Nairobi School will play out of Pool C and will contend with opposition from Sunshine, Kibra and Our Lady of Fatima while Aquinas headline Pool D which also features Upper Hill, St. Mary’s and Kangemi.
The school games action is returning after more than two years of not taking place. The 2020 and 2021 edition of the games were cancelled following the outbreak of Covid-19.
Schools that have qualified for the regional competitions from the sub-county level are out to bag slots for the national games set for 8 to 13 September in Nakuru County.
In the last edition held in 2019, Upperhill booked the region's ticket to the nationals in the 7's version and went on to win the national title, beating St Peters Mumias 12-10.
