The team secured back to back wins for the first time this season that helped them move from the relegation places into 10th spot
Nondescripts RFC head coach Callum Oliver has expressed his delight at the team’s turnaround in form in their last two games as the record Kenya Cup champions handed themselves a lifeline in the top flight after securing back to back wins for the first time since the 2021/2022 season started.
In match day 9 and 10, after a five game losing streak, the 17 time winners defeated Mwamba and Resolution Impala Saracens respectively to get themselves back to winning ways. The two wins helping the Red Lions move from the dreaded relegation zone upto 10th on the log courtesy of a superior goal difference to Homeboyz.

Following the two victories that came just three rounds before the regular season comes to an end, Oliver was left pleased with the character and mentality the team has shown in the face of looming relegation.
“We managed to get through despite not making executing a lot of our chances. I am impressed that the young team is learning and we are currently winning. There has been some real positivity in the last couple of weeks from the players, who are really proud of their club, and they are really hungry to stay up. Training has been excellent and we just needed to make it reflect on game day," he said,
He added; “We did not change any major thing. We just tried to bring simplicity to our game and energy to our training and matches because my personal opinion is that we have a good squad,” the head coach told Mozzart Sport.
Nondies yesterday made it 2 wins from their last two games as they turned around their hitherto poor form. They now have fate in their own hands if the most decorated rugby club in the country is to stay in the top flight#KenyaCup @Nondieshttps://t.co/T2xvsCYYiX

However, despite managing to pick up the two wins, Nondies, who are the oldest and most decorated club in the country, still have everything to play for heading into the final fixture of the season against Homeboyz.
In order to maintain their top flight status, they need to beat the Deejayz with the headcoach categorical that they have to preserve the team’s status in the top flight.
“We are in a good position but we are not out of the woods yet. We need to win against Homeboyz. In order to do that, we need to execute our chances,” the coach concluded.
