Kabras RFC defied all manner of odds to claim their fourth Enterprise Cup title after seeing off rivals KCB Rugby 32-20 in the match played on Saturday, June 8 at the RFUEA Grounds.
Ntabeni Dukisa showcased unique kicking prowess throughout the game. He also drilled in two penalties, scored a try, and managed two conversions which put the Sugarmen ahead.
The Sugarmen headed into the match having played just a single Enterprise Cup match; the semifinal against Kenya Harlequin where they won 54-8. They received walkovers from Mwamba RFC and Strathmore Leos in the pre-quarter and quarter-final rounds.

Despite not enjoying home advantage, the Carlos Kyatwa-coached side was keen to secure a victory, backed by hundreds of fans who travelled all the way to cheer them on.
They struck first through Humprey Asiligwa who made light work of the Bankers’ defense to go over with a try. He converted it to see them take an early lead.
Basking in the glory of the try, the Sugarmen would infringe in the fourth minute, and center referee Victor Oduor awarded KCB a penalty. Elvis Namusasi missed it to see the scores at 7-0.
The match was closely contested, and minutes later, Martin Owila was hardly tackled, causing him to concuss. He was replaced by Felix Ojow. KCB were awarded a penalty which Namusasi drilled in.
By now, Kabras were camping in KCB’s danger zone, and Michael Wanjala staged a kick and chase to ease the pressure on his team. He however failed to gather the ball and lost it forward leading to frowns from the KCB fans present.
Play went on, and minutes later, it was KCB being penalized for a tackle in the air.
Dukisa’s magical boots did not hesitate to drill in the penalty to see the scores climb to 10-3. KCB were clearly putting the Sugarmen under pressure, and this time they succumbed and infringed. Namusasi did not hesitate to collect the three points.
Another high tackle caused KCB to be penalized by the hawk-eyed referee who sent Namusasi to the naughty chair for that dangerous play. Kabras collected the three points thanks to Dukisa to see the scores at 13-6 before half time.
The closing half was closely contested as KCB were down to 14 men.
Kabras, enjoying the numerical advantage, went over with another try thanks to Dukisa’s prowess. He converted his own try.
KCB camped in Kabras’ red zone, and after several failed attempts, they finally managed a try through Shaban Ahmed. The conversion attempt was successful to see the scores at 20-13.
With the narrow margin, pressure was now building, with both teams fighting tooth and nail to add points to the scoreboard.
In the 68th minute, KCB were reduced to 13 men after Festus Shiasi was red carded for dangerous play.
Kabras did not hesitate to utilize the two-men advantage to go over with another try.
KCB returned to the scoresheets with a converted five-pointer but the Sugarmen had already done the damage.
Kabras sealed their win with a converted try, sending the crowd to cheers.
