In addition, Prudential will also be the official life insurer of the day and is committed to helping runners feel confident and protected throughout their journey so they can focus on what truly matters: the finish line.

The 2025 sponsorship marks the third consecutive year that the insurer is supporting the family race. This underscores their commitment to health, protection, and building more resilient communities.

“We chose to sponsor the Family Run because it aligns with our vision of promoting healthier lifestyles through active living.

The 5km run goes beyond being a race; it allows parents, children, and loved ones to run side by side, making it a true celebration of family and community,” said Prudential Kenya CEO Gwen Kinisu.

“Beyond that, it is also an opportunity to support the incredible work being done through Futuremakers, an initiative of Standard Chartered Bank.”

“This financial sponsorship from Prudential Life for the 5km Family Run will go a long way to execute the marathon and support the wellness and active lifestyle of families, in addition to providing comprehensive insurance coverage for participants,” said Joyce Kibe, Standard Chartered Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing, Kenya and Africa.

“With Ksh130 million contributed by the Bank towards the event, we are looking forward to creating a great race experience this year that will increase social impact milestones in communities we work with through our Futuremakers initiative, as well as positively contribute to the economy.”

Scheduled for Sunday, 26 October 2025, the Stanchart Marathon is Kenya’s largest single-day sporting event, which brings together professional athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and families from across the country.

Futuremakers is a global program that focuses on empowering youth with skills and opportunities for a better future. To date, the initiative has empowered 90,679 girls with life skills through sports.

It has also supported over 54,000 youth with employability and entrepreneurship opportunities and created 1,380 jobs through supported businesses.
