Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi were impressive, as Nigeria cruised to the quarter-finals (4-0)
Nigeria were 3-0 up at that moment against Mozambique in the AFCON 2025 Round of 16 tie with just 20 minutes to go, and Ademola Lookman was pressing high up there as if the game had just started.

That is all you need to know about the Super Eagles, their determination, quality, endurance and ability.
It was brutal, it was ferocious and it ended 4-0. A statement win!

Even before the kick-off at the Complexe Sportif de Fes stadium, it was blatantly clear that the three-time AFCON champions are massive favourites to progress to the quarter-finals, but it turned out this was much more than the clash against the charming Mambas.
A first-half blitzkrieg delivered in just five minutes - between the 20th and the 25th minute - separated the two sides for good and made it clear who the boss is.
Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen shone once again, like in some group stage games, to prove they are definitely the most lethal attacking duo in the competition.
🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Nigeria are on an historic AFCON campaign:

• 12 goals in 4 games, more than any other team
• 4 wins from 4, perfect record
• Lookman on fire: 7 G/A
• Osimhen delivering: 4 G/A
The Super Eagles are not messing around... They’re on a MISSION! 🇳🇬🔥 pic.twitter.com/b0QYnOkOCj
Bizarrely, though, they also had a very strange, heated argument on the pitch at some point in the second half, with Osimhen showing his anger towards the Atalanta forward for an unknown reason.
Still, that incident aside, the two of them teamed up with Fulham's Alex Iwobi, the king of pre-assists.
They were attacking relentlessly, making sure Mozambique got the message - this is the end of the road for you.
😳 Drama on the pitch! 🇳🇬

Victor Osimhen had a quarrel with his teammate Lookman.
Crazy but this same Lookman provided him assist for his second goal earlier. #AFCONwithMicky#AFCON2025 #SuperEagles pic.twitter.com/kNIoEeKKPv
Lookman curled it in from a central position to break the deadlock before Osimhen wrapped up the tie with a routine tap-in following a mouth-watering setup by Iwobi, Adams and Lookman himself.
The Galatasaray striker made it 3-0 shortly after the break, and Adams sealed the win as Nigeria became the first team to score four at this year's AFCON edition.
Whichever team wins tomorrow's clash between DR Congo and Algeria should be aware of the force and power they will face in the potential quarter-finals.
These Super Eagles look intimidating at this point.
