The Thika-based side dropped out of the top flight after finishing 17th in the 18-team FKF Premier League, bringing an end to their stay in Kenya's top division. It was a painful outcome for a club that had narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of the previous campaign, only to fall short a season later.

The rebuilding process has already begun, although Bidco are set to lose several key players following the drop. Keeper Issa Emuria has completed a move to AFC Leopards, Clinton Asiago is training with Shabana FC ahead of a potential switch, while Collins Akite and Thomas Wainaina are among players attracting interest from other clubs.

Despite the expected departures, Akhulia insists the club will not stand in the way of any player seeking a move, provided Bidco remain focused on assembling a squad capable of earning an immediate promotion back to the Premier League.

"We have accepted the reality of relegation, and now our attention is on the future. Our focus is to rebuild the team with the right players, the right mentality and the hunger to fight our way back to the FKF Premier League at the first attempt," Akhulia said.

The experienced tactician revealed that recruitment is already underway as Bidco seek to put together a squad capable of challenging for promotion from the National Super League.

"We are not just signing players to fill the squad. We want a competitive team that shares the club's vision. We are building a fresh team capable of competing every week and achieving promotion," he added.

Akhulia acknowledged that relegation often leads to an exodus of players but maintained that the club would respect individual decisions.

"We understand that some players may feel they need a new challenge after relegation. Football is a career, and I will not stand in the way of anyone who wants to leave. We appreciate their service and wish them well if they decide to move on."

The Bidco coach, however, stressed that those who remain at the club must be fully committed to the rebuilding process and the target of securing an immediate return to the top flight.

"Those who choose to stay must be fully committed to the project. We only want players who believe in what we are building and are ready to give everything to help Bidco United bounce back."

Having narrowly avoided relegation a season earlier, only to go down, Akhulia believes the setback presents an opportunity to reset and build a stronger team for the future.

"Rebuilding is never easy, but it also presents an opportunity to start afresh. We are laying a strong foundation because we don't want to just get promoted; we want to build a team that can compete sustainably when we return to the Premier League,” he concluded.
