His absence was keenly felt as the side struggled to maintain their attacking rhythm, raising concerns over his availability for the crucial Easter weekend fixture.
However, in a major relief for the promotion hopefuls, the club confirmed on Friday, 3 April that the league’s leading scorer has resumed training and is in contention to feature against Luanda Villa.
“We are pleased to let you know that the league’s leading scorer Syphas Otieno Owuor is back in training after the injury setback in Wundanyi. Wishing him an injury-free run for the rest of the season,” read part of the club’s statement.

The prolific forward has been in scintillating form this season, netting 17 goals to top the NSL scoring charts.
His recent performances have been particularly impressive, with five goals in his last four matches, including a brace against FC Talanta.
The former Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) , striker, Otieno has emerged as a central figure in Migori’s attacking setup, combining sharp movement with clinical finishing to drive the team’s campaign.
Currently sitting second on the log with 52 points, just three behind leaders Mombasa United, Migori Youth know that every point will be vital in the tightly contested promotion race.
With their 'Golden Boot' contender back in the fold, Sunday’s clash presents a renewed opportunity to reclaim momentum and keep their title ambitions firmly on track.
