The 32-year-old winger is close to joining MLS side Charlotte FC on loan
Not long ago, Wilfried Zaha was running riots in the English Premier League and was on the radar of much stronger clubs than Crystal Palace.
The winger, born in the Ivory Coast, who featured for Manchester United between two long spells with the Eagles, was almost impossible to guard. He was able to singlehandedly beat the rivals, triggering massive interest from other clubs, and the potential transfer was expected to be sky-high.
However, somehow, he stayed for too long at Selhurst Park, and his career took a downward spiral for the last few years.
Zaha joined Galatasaray in 2023, but after a lacklustre season in Turkey, he decided to move to Olympique Lyon on a season-long loan. After just four appearances and without scoring a single goal for the Ligue 1 side, Zaha is ready for a new challenge in order to reinvent himself. Far, far away.
As things stand, it was time for Zaha to experience playing in the MLS league, as he's close to agreeing on another loan - to Charlotte FC.
Zaha could be a good addition for Charlotte at that level of football, as he should be dominant and the focal point of the attacking line. It's time to conquer the United States.
