The winger got minutes in the pre season encounter.

Kenyan winger Silko Amari Otieno featured for Chelsea's development side in the 4-2 win over Boreham Wood in a pre season friendly with the side continuing their campaign preparations as the senior side is in the US.

Midfielders N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek missed the trip to the US due to their Covid vaccination status as they started for the side and got some important miles under their belt.

Chelsea started the game with much intent as they created a number of chances but were pegged behind when Loftus-Cheek conceded a penalty as Tyrone Marsh stepped up and sent Blues keeper Eddie Beach the wrong way to give Boreham Wood.

The Blues hit back almost immediately when Silko was involved in the build up that ended with Dylan Williams' teasing cross at the back-post picked out an unmarked Leo Castledine to finish well.

Trialist Jez Davies had his dream match for the Blues as he struck an effort from 20 yards which took a huge deflection, diverting the ball past goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.

Davies was having a fine encounter after grabbing his brace as he was on hand to pounce on a loose ball after Lewis Hall’s free-kick was parried onto the post.

A fast counter-attack led by Charlie Webster was finished expertly by Mason Burstow, who struck his shot into the far corner of the net as Chelsea were running riot over the National League side.

Boreham put some respect on the scoreline when full-back Jacob Mendy drove a fine effort past Sami Tlemcani in the Chelsea goal as the game ended 4-2.
