The Cityzens easily crushed Salford City, the club co-owned by as many as six Man United legendary players, as their youngsters ran riots - 8-0
When you are the ruling Premier League champion and need to play the FA Cup clash against a fourth-tier side, it's not easy to find motivation. However, when you know that that club is co-owned by Giggs, Scholes, Butt, the Neville brothers, and Beckham - all Man United legends, it suddenly becomes easier.
Guardiola gave a chance to youngsters and "sidelined" players, and they completely used it, destroying Salford City 8-0. After such a convincing victory, it's hard to even remember all the scorers, but let's try. James McAtee netted a hat-trick, Doku noted a brace and a pair of assists, while Grealish, O'Reilly, and Divin Mubama also scored.

Pep Guardiola decided to give more minutes to the players with less playing time and they returned him with three first-half goals. Jeremy Doku was the central figure, noting an eighth-minute opener and an assist for the third Man City's goal, scored by the 19-year-old Nico O'Reilly in the 43rd minute.
In the meantime, another youngster, Divin Mubama, aged 20, netted on his debut for the club, using Matheus Nunes' great assist to pass the ball into the net from close range.

After the break, the series of goals continued, with Jack Grealish converting the penalty only four minutes into the second half, which marked the end of his goal-scoring troubles. Doku completed a brace of assists in the 62nd minute, setting the goal for the young James McAtee, only to score a brace of goals as well seven minutes later from the spot.

McAtee became another brace-scorer in the Cityzens' ranks only three minutes after Doku's goal, using Phil Foden's assist. And while Salford were getting crushed by the Premier League champions, their co-owners and Man United legends, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt, watched it from the stands. Apart from the two, four more former Red Devils players co-own the club - Ryan Giggs, the Neville brothers, Phil and Gary, and David Beckham.

The young McAtee ultimately won the scoring duel against Doku since he managed to complete a brace and set the final score - 8-0. Although they suffered a heavy defeat, Salford can now turn to facing the opponents of their rank in League Two, while the Cityzens can prepare for a game against Brentford in three days.
