The Kenya U20 Women’s National Team have stepped up preparations for the third round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, with head coach Jackline Juma naming a 32-player provisional squad for the upcoming showdown against Tanzania.

The team is already five days into residential camp as focus shifts to the decisive fixtures.

The squad has been trimmed from an initial group of 60 players who reported at the start of camp, following rigorous assessments by the technical bench based on fitness levels, current form, positional needs, and tactical considerations.

Kenya U20 booked their place in the third round after an emphatic second-round performance against Ethiopia, securing a convincing 4-1 aggregate victory that highlighted the team’s attacking sharpness and growing confidence.

The qualifiers will be decided over two legs, with the Kenya U20 Women’s National Team hosting the first match before travelling to Tanzania for the return leg.

The opening fixture will be played on the 7th at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi, with kick-off set for 3:00 pm.

The return leg is scheduled for the 14th at the Azam Complex in Tanzania, starting at 4pm.

With a place in the next round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers at stake, the Kenya U20 Women’s National Team will be aiming to capitalize on home advantage before pushing for a positive result away.

Fans have been urged to turn out in large numbers at the Ulinzi Sports Complex to support the Rising Starlets as they continue their journey toward World Cup qualification.
