The free clinic, hosted by football enthusiast and former player Bree Mongina in partnership with ZZZ Accounting and official tech partner GL Tech Store KE, continues to champion the holistic development of footballers. It seeks to equip players with vital life and career skills beyond the pitch.
Building on the momentum of previous editions, this year’s event will focus on three key areas: mental fortitude, injury prevention, and digital branding.
Discussions will centre on The Power of the Second Chance, exploring how athletes can turn adversity into professional growth; Pre-Hab, Not Just Rehab, a session on preventing injuries through proper warm-ups, cool-downs, and conditioning; and Building Your Digital Identity, which will guide players on leveraging social media, especially TikTok, to strengthen their personal brands and engage fans.
The event will feature insights from respected voices in the football community, including marketing specialist and Sofapaka FC CEO Hebert Kunga, the team’s physiotherapist Seline Nekesa, James Ndege (Founder, Box to Box Regista), and Zuhum Omar (Football Content Creator, YouTuber, and Radio Presenter).
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Mongina noted that the clinic seeks to address the often-overlooked aspects of an athlete’s career.
“Our mission at Eleven Eleven TV is to not only celebrate Kenyan football but to empower the athletes. The Game Continues clinic is a vital platform to address their mental health, financial stability, and physical longevity.
This knowledge is crucial for a successful transition both during and after their playing days,” she offered.
The second edition of the clinic attracted 30 participants and focused on mental health, covering strategies for managing stress, building resilience, and maintaining peak performance, and financial literacy, helping athletes learn budgeting and investment techniques for long-term stability.
