Newly-crowned Serie A champions lost a game in Monza but one boy got a treat of a lifetime

A young Napoli fan got VIP treatment from head coach Luciano Spalletti ahead of their match at Monza on Sunday afternoon. Even though the champions lost 2-0 against the league's surprise package, there's no pain for the southerners. After all, most of them are probably still hungover after mad parties following their Scudetto win.

One boy will remember this day particularly well - and it's all thanks to Uncle Luciano. The coach saw one particularly enthusiastic kid greeting he visiting team outside the Brianteo Stadium. The youngster and his parents couldn't believe as the title-winning coach offered to give them a special tour of the dressing room and the technical area.

The young boy was happy as he sat next to Spalletti on the bench and gazed out into the field as they posed for a memorable photo shoot in the dugout. Before the game, Spalletti gave his account of what happened for TV cameras.

"There were hundreds of kids out here to witness the Napoli players arrive here, and this one was particularly anxious to give everyone a high five. He requested me to accompany him to the bench, and after showing him the locker room and bringing him onto the field so he could see me up close. It was nice. The fact that there are so many kids here is a sign that football will have a bright future."
