Foxes send Solskjaer on a death row following a super-exciting 4-2 win

Reading Time: 3min | Sat. 16.10.21. | 19:09

It was such a pleasure to witness this unforgettable clash, with two belters in the first half and three goals in only five minutes in the second. CR7 stayed in the shadows

Ole Gunnar Solskajer is probably counting his last days in the Red Devils dugout after another deplorable performance of his side and pretty deserved 4-2 loss at Leicester.

Except for the two scored goals, United looked confused, disoriented and extremely vulnerable every time Brendan Rodger's squad reached the danger zone. It was blatantly clear they'll suffer today, despite breaking the deadlock early in the game.

In the span of only 12 minutes, we saw two staggering goals on both ends that could easily be considered the nominees for the goal of the season.

Firstly, Manchester United's winger Mason Greenwood came out of nowhere to score a stunner with his mighty left 19 minutes into the game. He received the ball on the right, cut to the middle a bit and then suddenly struck a sensational missile that hit the far post and went into the back of the net for 0-1.

The hosts Leicester City - until that moment much better side on the field - didn't fall into despair but struck back in the same style very soon. Following another Maguire's error near De Gea's area, Iheanacho passed it to Youri Tielemans, whose magnificent, perfectly executed shot ended in the top right corner for much deserved 1-1.

Once the game was tied at one, both sides were desperate to take full advantage of the match, but there was not enough accuracy in the finish. The above-mentioned Tielemans did all the work for himself 15 minutes before the end, he snapped the ball in front of Matic and Pogba before pursuing an excellent attempt, but De Gea managed to pin the ball to the post, so it remained 1-1 on a scoreboard.

It was the same only a few minutes later when recently used sub Patson Daka challenged De Gea, but the Spanish keeper was on it. Those two met once again after a corner minute later, but this time, after a bit of a pinball in United's box, Leicester defender Soyuncu taped it in for 2-1.

That kick-started a five-minute skirmish at Kings Park Stadium with as much as three goals on such short notice.

United bounced back thanks to amazing Lindelof's long pass to Rashford, who was lethal once he met with Schmeichel one on one, and the game was again brought into a stalemate.

But it was just a prelude for the fifth goal of the tie, coming from prodigious Vardy, who reacted promptly and once again put his side in front, only a minute after Rashford levelled the score.

The final score was sealed in the stoppage time, with unmarked Daka seizing an opportunity on the far post that United's truly dreadful defence had given him after set-pieces.
