Gogo set sights on the FKFPL with massive recruitment

Darajani Gogo has signed 12 players ahead of the new NSL season with the mission to earn promotion to the top-tier

Yet again, Darajani Gogo FC have proved to be the second tier money bags in the on going player registration window set to shut on Friday.

In a bid to bolster their squad and form a competitive team for the upcoming NSL campaign, the Caleb Aringa coached will in the coming days unveil twelve players who have joined their fold.

The mass recruitment was necessary after the club a considerate number of arsenals following the culmination of 2022-23 NSL season.

As per the club's team manager Sudi Avoga, the team majored on players who will have an instant impact on Gogo's hunt for Football Kenya Federation Premier League Football.

"Our plot is to grace FKFPL next season, we have had enough of the NSL," said Avoga.

Some of the notable names set to be unveiled by the Kibra based club include Erick Adem Bala from FKFPL outfit KCB FC, Elisha Owino joins from FC Talanta, Antony Odhiambo from Wazito FC and Lonny Amdava from Vihiga Bullets.

Others to have inked deals with the club are former Gor Mahia Youth midfleder Brian Odhiambo, Khamis Sebi Mwinyi and Joseph Mnala all joining from Kibra United.

Former SS Assad winger Bryton Kitemwe, Zetech Titans goalkeeper Lihasi Innocent Jr, Khamis Ami Ami of MCF FC, youngster Bruce Achesa and Elvis Okeyo complete Gogo's list of new assassins.

Darajani have also parted ways with seven of the players that wiggled on the green grass for the club last season and among them are the shock exit of Kevin Senya to noisy neighbors Kibra United, central defender Evans Odhiambo, John Macharia and Demarere Sibo have all linked up Mully Children Family FC.

Joseph Onyango and Derrick Otieno have also left the club and signed for Division One outfits MOFA and Kibra United respectively.

"The signings are exciting to say the least, we have blended young blood with experience and with the calibre of coaches at their disposal, we expect nothing less than promotion," said Sudi Avoga, Darajani Gogo team manager
