Record FKF Premier League champions, Gor Mahia, have disclosed the revenue generated from their league clash against KCB FC at a rain-soaked Nyayo National Stadium.

Despite heavy rains that delayed the kick-off and affected the flow of the game, Gor Mahia powered to a commanding 3-0 victory, thanks to goals from Enock Morisson, Shariff Musa and Samuel Kapen.

Morisson opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a thunderous long-range strike past Arnold Monzobo.

Musa and Kapen then struck in quick succession to complete a dominant first-half display, effectively sealing the contest before the break.

The win extended Gor Mahia’s impressive run under coach Charles Akonnor, stretching their unbeaten streak to 11 league matches as they tightened their grip at the top of the table.

For KCB, their struggles against the record champions continued.

The Bankers are now winless against Gor Mahia since January 2023, a seven-match run in which they have managed just one goal.

The defeat marked their eighth of the season.

The victory saw Gor Mahia move six points clear at the summit of the FKF Premier League standings with 46 points from 21 matches.

Off the pitch, the club also recorded a strong turnout at the gates, collecting Kshs 876,150 from the fixture despite the unfavourable weather conditions.

“We managed to collect Kshs 876,150 from today’s match against KCB at Nyayo Stadium. We truly appreciate all fans who defied the weather to offer support to the team. That was incredible. Rain or shine, the fans always deliver,” read part of the club’s statement.
