On Thursday, 2 October, K’ogalo pitched a tent at the Nyayo National Stadium in preparation for their next FKF Premier League match against KCB FC.
It is in their training session that the record 21-time league champions received an unexpected guest who left the players with a financial boost, as confirmed by the club through their Facebook page.
“A surprise visit from Sports CS Salim Mvurya during today's training session boosted the team's spirit ahead of the weekend's league match; the CS gave players a token of KSh300,000,” reads the post.
K’Ogalo have had a mixed start to the 2025/26 league season, losing 1-0 to Bidco United through a late penalty in their season opener before finding their winning ways with a 2-0 beating of Sofapaka in their last league match.
Ghanaian import Ebenzer Adukwam was the hero in the victory, scoring on either side of halftime, the second being a long-range, audacious strike that caught Sofapaka custodian Victor Kamungo out of position and went into the back of the net.
The club is now in pursuit of its second league victory when it plays KCB on Sunday, 4 October, at the Dandora Stadium from 1500 hrs.

Gor Mahia head Charles Akonnor is the latest tactician to express his criticism of the sporting facility, noting its slippery nature that limits his team from playing in his preferred style and is a recipe for injury.
Nevertheless, the former Black Stars midfielder revealed that his solution to the stadium is to play direct balls in attack as opposed to building from the back.
Gor Mahia have set their eyes on the league title that will not only mark their return to continental football but also earn them the improved prize money of KSh15 million.
