Whether out of love or just because of a good business move of the calculated machinery, the sins of the legendary goalkeeper are "forgotten"

Some loves have no end, no matter how angry you are at each other, and the question is always how true it really was in all the previous years if it ended with a "simple" breakup. Well, maybe not so much about love as about work, always a priority for a meticulous sports machinery like Bayern Munich.

As much as it is considered the most disciplined giant of European football, it seems that there are no hard-hearted people sitting in the management of the Bavarians. Despite all the "outbursts" of the 37-year-old legend of the club in the previous period, the champion of Germany announced an extension of cooperation with Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich until 2025.

The leaders of the six-time European champion were angry with Manuel Neuer the previous December, when, after the unsuccessful World Cup with Germany, he broke his leg while skiing and thus separated himself from the field for almost a year. A few months later, anger at one of the best goalkeepers of the 21st century increased due to an unauthorized interview in which he criticized the club for the dismissal of goalkeeper coach and great friend Toni Tapalović. Soon after, Manuel was fined 1,600,000 euros, the most brutal in the club's history. It seemed in those moments that he could say goodbye to the captain's armband upon returning to the field, but apparently, time healed the inflicted wounds and corrected all misunderstandings.

Until this year's arrival of Harry Kane, Neuer was considered the highest-paid player on the team, with a gross salary of 20,000,000 euros per year. The Englishman took over with a contract until 2027 for 25,000,000 per season. Perhaps the most interesting question that arises among German football fans is related to the price of Bayern's forgiveness to Neuer. According to numerous media speculations, there are high chances that the Bavarian hero from the previous 12 years is no longer in the highest salary category and that Thomas Muller (€20,000,000), Leroy Sane (€20,000,000), Joshua Kimmich (19,000,000), Leon Goretzka (18,000,000) and Serge Gnabry (18,000,000) are all now ahead of him.

After signing, Neuer immediately made it clear what his ultimate goal is until the end of his career.

"After a long injury, I'm back in full swing. It's extremely fun for me to be on the field. I'm sure that together with the fans we can achieve our big goals in the coming years, the biggest of which is the campaign for the Champions League finals in Munich 2025."

Since arriving from Schalke in 2011, leaving his native Gelsenkirchen and arriving at Bayern, Neuer has played 494 games for the club, won 11 German championship titles, five national cups, two Champions Leagues (2013, 2020), two Club World Cups, two European Supercups and six German Supercups. All together a spectacular 28 trophies.

On the other hand, Sven Ulreich stepped in all previous years as Neuer's replacement and did a good job more than once. Now he has been rewarded with a new extension of cooperation, also until 2025.

"When I came to Bayern from Stuttgart in 2015, I didn't think I would stay here for so long. Now I have extended it until 2025 and I will continue to do everything to achieve Bayern's goals. I look forward to continuing my cooperation with Manuel, as well as Daniel Peretz and Michael Rechner (goalkeeping coaches). Manuel and I have much more in common than just passion for football, we are great friends," Sven pointed out.
