The winger, who joined Leopards on transfer deadline day from KCB FC, arrives on the back of a strong individual campaign where he scored five goals and provided 14 assists.

Despite his standout numbers, KCB endured a tough season that eventually saw head coach Patrick Odhiambo replaced by Robert Matano.

At the Den, Kinyanjui reunites with coach Fred Ambani, whom he briefly worked with at Wazito FC before moving to Bandari.

The former Thika United, Mathare United, Wazito, Bandari, and KCB man was also a key figure for the now-defunct Wazito side during his time there.

Speaking to AFC Leopards media, the skilful winger expressed his excitement at finally donning the famous blue and white jersey.

“I am proud and happy to join AFC Leopards. It’s one of the best clubs in the country with a huge history across the continent.

Playing for a well-supported team like the Leopards is a great challenge, and I have always wanted this chance. When it finally came, I had to take it with open arms. I’m home,” he said.

Kinyanjui added that working again with coach Ambani gives him confidence as he targets to improve his numbers and help Leopards mount a serious title charge.

“I have worked with coach Fred Ambani before at Wazito FC, and I’m looking forward to his guidance here. My ambition is to win the league with AFC Leopards.

Looking at my statistics last season, I want to register even more goals and assists to push the team closer to the title,” he added.

Apart from Kinyanjui, the club has brought in eight other new faces. The eight are: Samwel Ssenyonjo, Tyson Otieno, Samuel Kusindi, Jamal Abubakar, Brian Ojok, Kang Deng, Rami Lasso Coulibaly, and Elias Muagne.

Ingwe begin their 2025/26 FKF Premier League campaign on Saturday, 20 September, with a tricky home clash against bogey side Sofapaka FC.
