He scored nine goals for Talanta last season

KCB's new acquisition Francis Kahiro is ready for battle in the new FKF Premier League season following his move from FC Talanta last month in a season-long deal.

Kahiro switched allegiance to the Zedekiah Otieno-coached side after an impressive season in the top-flight that saw him score nine goals for the debuting FC Talanta.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the dreaded winger revealed that his focus is cementing a place in the starting team which will in turn see him meet his scoring target of at least 20 goals for the season.

"My focus at the moment is on working hard to break into the first team when the season begins. Once that happens, I can now concentrate on netting goals, and I think at least 20 goals would be a good starting point considering that I am playing alongside quality players who can help me achieve that," he said.

The Passenga Boys High School alumnus made his Premier League debut last season and went on to put up a brilliant display, announcing himself at the big stage when he scored a brace against champions Tusker FC in October as Talanta upset the Brewers at Ruaraka in a 2-1 win.
