East European side beat Greece after the penalty shootout to reach the continental tournament

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia's Georgia have qualified for Euro 2024 after beating Greece in a penalty shootout.

The Napoli star went off injured before the end, but was seen in tears of joy following the larger-than-life victory, which triggered a pitch invasion by jubilant fans.

This is the first major tournament for Georgia in its history and they will be placed into Group F with Turkey, Czechia and Portugal.

The competition is hosted by Germany from June 14 to July 14.

Firstly, Georgia beat 10-man Luxembourg 2-0 in the play-off semi-final, then were held 0-0 by Greece after 120 minutes.

They eventually won through a penalty shootout, but Kvaratskhelia did not participate, as he limped off with a groin injury in the 109th minute.
