Another in a series of gestures by the Reds to honor their former player and his brother

A tribute to two brothers and a way to ensure they are never forgotten. Liverpool has unveiled the first images of a new memorial that will be placed outside Anfield in honor of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who both lost their lives in a car accident last year.

Named "Forever 20", the sculpture is designed to capture the bond between the two brothers and the affection they inspired among family, friends, teammates, and supporters across the globe.

The centerpiece of the monument is a sweeping heart shape, inspired by Jota’s trademark goal celebration. From different angles, the sculpture reveals the numbers 20 and 30 — the shirt numbers worn by Diogo and Andre during their careers. Another meaningful touch is a PlayStation controller embedded into the design, a nod to Jota’s love of gaming, which often featured in his celebrations.

Liverpool also confirmed that the memorial will feature the lyrics to the chant dedicated to Jota, a song that remains a cherished part of the matchday atmosphere and is still sung by fans in the 20th minute of every game.

The sculpture will be installed on 97th Avenue, the same location where thousands of supporters gathered after the tragedy to leave flowers, scarves, messages, banners, and shirts from clubs around the world. Many of those tributes will be incorporated into the base of the monument itself.

According to the club, this process ensures that the emotions and memories shared by supporters become a permanent part of the memorial. The monument is intended to stand as an enduring expression of love, togetherness, and remembrance — a place where fans can reflect and continue to honor the legacy of two brothers who will never be forgotten.
