Sofapaka FC head coach Edward Manoah has disclosed that a decision regarding his future at the club will be made in the coming weeks once the current FKF Premier League season concludes on 31 May.
The veteran tactician was appointed on 8 March, shortly after leaving Mara Sugar FC.

He replaced Ezekiel Akwana, with the immediate task of steering the 2009 Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions away from relegation.
However, despite his vast coaching experience, Manoah was unable to prevent Batoto Ba Mungu from being relegated.
Sofapaka’s relegation to the National Super League was confirmed ten days ago following a 2-2 draw against Mathare United FC, bringing to an end the club’s 17-year stay in the top flight.
In his eight matches in charge so far, Manoah has overseen four draws and a similar number of defeats.
The former Kakamega Homeboyz FC tactician revealed that his current three-month contract is set to expire at the end of the month, with both parties expected to hold talks before a final decision is reached.
“About my staying, it will require that we sit down again because we had an agreement for three months, which is ending this month. We will discuss and see whether it is possible to continue the relationship.
I will not leave in an unprofessional manner because everything has to be discussed properly. If we agree on various factors, then I will be able to stay put unless otherwise,” Manoah told Mozzart Sport.
Despite being relegated, Manoah believes Sofapaka’s demotion could serve as a turning point for the club, describing it as a blessing in disguise.
The CAF-licensed tactician pointed to several Kenyan clubs that have previously endured relegation before eventually bouncing back stronger, insisting Sofapaka still possesses the pedigree to reclaim its place among the country’s elite sides.
“I think this unfortunate fate is a blessing in disguise for the team to correct its shortcomings and come back stronger. Relegation does not mean the club was average or not good enough. Sometimes it comes down to shortcomings that eventually cost the club.
We have seen major teams suffer the same fate before, including Mathare United, KCB, Nzoia Sugar and Bandari. It is something that offers an opportunity to reorganize, restructure and eventually come back stronger,” added Manoah.
