More laws than Newton: Arteta has a new rule, and it costs players money

The Spaniard is trying to improve his team's chances of winning the title in any way possible

Considering that Arsenal have had arguably the most demanding schedule at the beginning of the new Premier League campaign, the Gunners have done a pretty good job, collecting ten points. Still, the defeat to Liverpool and the Reds' five-point advantage definitely bother everyone at Emirates.

However, given that the North London side had an excellent transfer window and built a respectable team, Mikel Arteta's crew has never had better chances of winning the club's first EPL title since 2004.

Nevertheless, a strong squad isn't the only requirement for trophies, so the Spanish tactician decided to implement a special rule for his players. Namely, according to The Sun, the players are obliged to meet before and after every game and travel together to and from the stadium, regardless of whether Arsenal play a home or away match.

The players used to arrive at the stadium independently, but now are required to meet at the Colney training ground around 38 km form the Emirates.

The same source claims that cab drivers earn approximately £1000 from this Arteta's "experiment."

"I mean for us it leaves us looking forward to every game and hope we get the call because that is essentially more than half what we have to get for the week and it's quite relaxing," one of the drivers told The Sun.

Apart from spending his players' money, Arteta is trying to create and strengthen bonds between his lads, thus improving the team's results. Will it help? Time will tell, though the Gunners' EFL Cup clash against third-tier side Port Vale tonight (22.00) could indicate whether there's been any progress.
