Nairobi United vs KCB FC
Nairobi United continue their title defence with a clash against KCB FC scheduled for 3:30 pm, in what will be the second match of a double-header at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
Naibois made history by winning the 2025 edition while still competing in the National Super League (NSL), upsetting top-flight sides along the way, including a 1-0 victory over Gor Mahia in the final.
The match against KCB is a repeat of last season’s Round of 16 tie, where Nairobi United advanced via a post-match penalty shootout.
Having experienced the rewards of winning the Cup, including qualification for continental football through the CAF Confederation Cup, the Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja-backed side will approach the match with the seriousness it demands as they aim for another return to the continental stage.
KCB, on the other hand, will be looking to improve on their 2024 campaign, when they narrowly missed out on their first major title after losing to Kenya Police FC on penalties in the final.
Ulinzi Stars vs Tusker FC
Ulinzi Stars will face Tusker FC in the first match of the day, scheduled for 1:00 pm.
Despite struggling in the FKF Premier League, where they are currently hovering near the relegation zone, Ulinzi have enjoyed a strong Cup run and will be aiming to continue that momentum by upsetting Tusker and reaching the semi-finals.
Tusker, meanwhile, are also enduring an underwhelming league campaign, prompting head coach Julien Mette to admit that the Mozzart Bet Cup is now their main focus and most realistic opportunity to secure silverware.
