New wonder duo Asensio-Rashford does wonders as Villa beat Chelsea

Unai Emery's latest reinforcements directed a stunning second-half comeback to knock the Blues in marvellous fashion

All you need is a proper coach and a healthy environment. If you have the necessary qualities, you'll flourish sooner rather than later.

Just look at Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford.

We thought they were two former players, once-stars a few months ago, but ever since they moved to Aston Villa, they've been working hard and it paid off this Saturday.

Asensio scored a brace thanks to Rashford's two impressive assists in killing Chelsea and reducing the gap between them to just a point.

Aston Villa came from behind to beat the Blues, who were 1-0 up thanks to Enzo Fernandez's early tap-in.

Unfortunately for Enzo Maresca and his squad, Unai Emery once more showed how excellent a tactician he actually is. The hosts were patient and waited for their chance, which happened for the first time shortly after the break. Asensio brought back the stalemate before finishing the game with a lovely winner, as Rashford was the key provider on both occasions.

It needs to be said, though, that Chelsea's keeper Jorgensen will remember the night because of his howler. Rashford's cross was remarkable, just like Asensio's volley, but the Blues' custodian had to stop that effort, and he's the one to blame the most for this upsetting loss.
