The Francis Chege-coached side wasted little time stamping authority on the contest, playing with urgency and purpose as they exposed a Vihiga defence that continues to wobble under pressure.
Peter Wahinya opened the scoring before Daniel Wabwire doubled the advantage, setting the tone for a dominant first-half display that left Vihiga chasing shadows.
Vihiga attempted to rally through Alex Imbusia, whose strike briefly reignited hope, but 3K remained composed and lethal on the break.
Glen Githinji restored breathing space before the interval, ensuring the hosts carried a commanding lead into the break.
Any thoughts of a Vihiga comeback were effectively extinguished in the second half when Alex Mwalimu added a fourth, punishing another lapse at the back.
Although Richard Okungo pulled one back for the visitors, it proved little more than a consolation as 3K expertly managed the closing stages to seal a convincing victory.
The result lifts 3K to second place on the standings with 24 points, five adrift of leaders Migori Youth, while Vihiga United’s free fall continues as they slip to 17th with just 12 points.
Luanda Villa stun Darajani Gogo
Luanda Villa claimed a vital 1-0 away victory over Darajani Gogo at the Marist University Grounds, with Victor Barack’s solitary strike proving decisive.
The result marks Villa’s first away victory of the season and extends an impressive run that has seen them record three victories in their last four outings.
The surge lifts them to 11th place on the log with 17 points, level with Gogo, who remain 12th.
Black Stars continue revival
At Gusii Stadium, Joseph Lung’we’s lone strike earned Kibera Black Stars a second consecutive victory, bringing an end to a barren run that had stretched to five matches.
The result signals a welcome turnaround for the Nairobi-based side as they look to build momentum in the second half of the campaign.
MOFA, Talanta Share the Spoils
Elsewhere, Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) and FC Talanta played out a goalless draw at Ruaraka Grounds in a cagey affair that offered few clear-cut chances.
Both sides settled for a point as defensive discipline took precedence over attacking adventure.
