Olang'o missed the opening two rounds of the campaign as he lacked the license, a requirement a player must produce on match days in order to be allowed to play.

Experienced FC Talanta goalkeeper Kevin Olang'o will be hoping to make his first start of the season in the next league game against Bidco United.

Olang'o missed the opening two rounds of the campaign as he lacked the license, a requirement a player must produce on match days in order to be allowed to play.

The custodian failed to secure the card on time after agreeing to a contract extension with the club late. Olang'o extended his stay with Talanta for an extra season.

He missed the league opener against AFC Leopards at the Nyayo National Stadium and was missing in action in the second round against Shabana which was also played at the same venue.

Olang'o said he was ready to vie for game time in the next match against Bidco after signing a new contract and securing the license.

"I am ready to reclaim my place in the team. I couldn't feature in the first two games as I had not gotten my card. I signed the new contract a little bit late and thus, I couldn't get the license on time," he said in an interview with Mozzart Sport.

Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta trusted Isaiah Wakasala in between the sticks in the first two matches in the absence of Olang'o who has been the first choice from the time Talanta were promoted.

Wakasala was named the man of the match against Leopards owing to the superb saves he made to deny Leopards from finding the back of his net as well as helped his team pick a point from the game where they finished with ten men.

Wakasala, who returned to Talanta for a second stint after signing from National Super League side Darajani Gogo was deputized by James Omusinde in the last two league matches.

Olang'o, was heavily linked with a move to record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia a couple of weeks ago but the deal didn't go through.

Talanta will take on Bidco looking for the first win after sharing points with Leopards and Shabana.
