All the title-chasing teams will be in action making the day a sumptuous one. Police Bullets takes on Madira Soccer Assassins, Vihiga faces Kisumu Allstarlets, Ulinzi locks horns with Bungoma Queens while Trinity tussles with Gideon Starlets.
Ahead of today's matches, Police Bullets are at the top of the league table with 22 points followed by Vihiga Queens with 21 points with Ulinzi Starlets and Trinity Starlets closing the top four with 20 points apiece.
The relegation consists of Kisumu Allstarlets with a single point, KISPED Queens with four points and Gideon Starlets with nine points to make it a Nyanza affair.
Madira Soccer Assassins vs Kenya Police Bullets
League leaders Kenya Police Bullets will be away to Madira Soccer Assassins in a match set to take place at the Nyang’ori Grounds in Majengo, Kisumu County.
Police head into the match having benefitted from a midweek walkover after Kisped Queens failed to show up. Prior to that, the law enforcers ended the year 2025 with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Trinity Starlets.
Madira on the other hand suffered a 1-0 loss to Vihiga Queens in midweek while they ended the year with a 2-1 win over Kayole Starlets.
With the first leg coming to an end, coach David Vijago will be out to ensure the law enforcers end it with a win even as they continue with the course of defending their league title.
A win for Police could increase their gap at the top depending on other results and soothe the fatigue of the long journey.
Madira on the other hand are out to give a good account of themselves in their return to top flight football and retain their league status.
Kisumu Allstarlets vs Vihiga Queens
Kenyan giants Vihiga Queens will face off with Kisumu Allstarlets in a match scheduled for the Moi Stadium, Kisumu from 1300 hrs in what is also a Kisumu Derby.
While Vihiga Queens hail from Vihiga County, they play their home games at today's venue hence giving the match a derby status.
While both teams will be seeking three points,it will be a clash of ambitions. Vihiga will be hunting for points that will help them to keep pace with the title race and potentially take them to the top of the league table while Kisumu Allstarlets are in a fight for survival and disentanglement from the relegation zone.
Vihiga secured a 1-0 victory against Madira in midweek, a win that was preceded by a 2-0 win over Gideon Starlets and will therefore have an opportunity to make it three wins in a row.
Bungoma Queens vs Ulinzi Starlets
Bungoma Queens will play host to military side Ulinzi Starlets at the Bungoma Polytechnic Grounds backyard from 1300 hrs.
Bungoma head into the match sitting seventh in the log with 17 points following impressive results including back to back wins over Kibera Soccer Women and Kisped Queens.
They will be out to utilize their home advantage and make it three wins in a row at the expense of Ulinzi Starlets who have been equally in form.
The military side benefitted from a walkover against Kisumu Allstarlets in their last match of the year which was preceded by wins over Gideon Starlets and Police Bullets.
Trinity Starlets vs Gideon Starlets
At the Comboni Polytechnic Grounds in Gilgil, Trinity Starlets will lock horns with Gideon Starlets from noon in what will also be the first match of the day.
Trinity have endured back to back losses having suffered their first home loss against Vihiga Queens before ending the year with a 8-0 beating at the hands of Police Bullets.
Coach Sylvanus Wesonga will be out to lead the team back to winning ways by making good use of their home advantage to down Gideon Starlets who on their part will be eyeing a win that will increase their chances of surviving relegation.
