Nzoia Sugar shocked KCB 1-0 at the Police Pavilion in South C
Posta Rangers have returned to winning ways after storming to the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata and shooting down Ulinzi Stars twice in their final Football Kenya Federation Premier League match of the year played on Thursday.
Before the contest, Rangers had failed to gather maximum points twice after losing 1-0 to Muhoroni Youth and a barren draw against twelve-time champions Tusker.
The win over Ulinzi, sees the John Kamau-coached club scale to the second slot with 29 points, two behind defending champions Gor Mahia who are set to be in action on Friday.
K’Ogalo will play host to Bandari at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos in a game where they will be seeking to bag their ninth win of the season.
On the other hand, Bandari will also be keen to register their ninth in the campaign.
At Lang’ata, goals from Brian Otieno and Patrick Otieno were enough to guarantee Rangers three points.
Kariobangi Sharks ended their seven-game winless streak in style after thrashing FC Talanta 3-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The last time Sharks had won a game in the league was way back in October when they beat Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 at the Kasarani Annex
Despite having no striker on the match-day squad, Sharks managed to sink three unanswered goals in the Talanta goal to return to winning ways.
Geoffrey Onyango gave Sharks the lead in the 23rd minute before Keith Imbali doubled the advantage in the 38th minute.
Stanley Wilson added the third goal in the 57th minute.
A the Police Pavillion Grounds, the struggling Nzoia Sugar shocked KCB after flooring the bankers 1-0.
Mohammed Barisa earned Nzoia three points after finding the back of the net in the 59th minute.
Barisa has three league goals this season as he scored twice in their 2-2 draw against Gor Mahia.
Meanwhile Bidco United marked their return to Thika Stadium with an important 1-0 win over Shabana.
Eugene Ikutwa scored the all-important goal for the hosts in the 86th minute.
