In one of the best Derby d'Italia duels ever, the Bianconeri won the game 4-3 thanks to 91st-minute screamer, keeping the perfect score after the third Serie A round
Eleven months ago, in one of the most efficient Derby d'Italia duels ever, Inter and Juventus drew 4-4 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Tonight, they were close to creating a genuine deja vu at Allianz Stadium, but the Nerazzuri were one goal short - 4-3!
The opening half was a showdown between the two Turks - Kenan Yildiz and Hakan Calhanoglu. Lloyd Kelly broke the deadlock for Juve, the former AC Milan midfielder levelled, but his compatriot from the Old Lady's ranks put his team up front at the break.
Still, Calhanoglu's response came in the 65th minute when he equalized for the second time. Afterwards, the Thuram brothers took to the stage and presented the crowd with a proper showdown!
Marcus gave Inter the lead in the 76th minute and Khephren answered with a leveller just seven minutes later, while their dad, Lilian, was the proudest man in the stands and in the world!
And when everyone expected the end, the young Montenegrin player Vasilije Adzic unleashed a missile from around 30 meters, scoring a winner in the dying minutes for Juve's gigantic triumph!
4-3 Juventus.

Even though Derby d'Italia clashes weren't lately too efficient - except for the one played in October 2024, which ended 4-4 - Juve managed to break the deadlock from the first shot on target in the match!
Inter's players cleared the ball off their box twice after the home team's corner kick, but the third cross was the charm for the Bianconeri! Manuel Locatelli sent the ball in, Gleison Bremer left it for his fellow centre-back Lloyd Kelly, who smashed it into Michele Di Gregorio's bottom-left corner, netting his maiden Juventus goal!
2 - Lloyd #Kelly is only the 2nd English player to score in a #SerieA match between #Juventus and #Inter, after Gerald Hitchens (two goals in the 1st and 2nd leg for the Nerazzurri in 1961/62). Lion.#JuventusInter

Nevertheless, the Old Lady's joy lasted only until the half-hour mark and Hakan Calhanoglu's weaker-foot bomb from a distance! The Turk took his shot with a long-range effort, the ball went through a crowd of legs and tricked Di Gregorio.
Still, the Nerazzurri didn't have to wait long for Juventus' response, as the Bianconeri themselves managed to score from a long range and regain the lead thanks to Kenan Yildiz's beautiful effort, just eight minutes following his compatriot's leveller!
This time, Inter failed to bounce back quickly, so the home crew had the lead at the break.

It was hard to expect that the pace and efficiency would be the same after the break, and those expectations were realistic. Apart from Cristian Chivu's triple sub - the Romanian sent in Federico Dimarco, Ange-Yoan Bonny, and Piotr Zielinski - nothing notable happened in the opening 20 minutes of the second period.
And then Calhanoglu broke the silence! Similar effort, similar goal, only this time, it was a magnificent volley, with which the Turk once again annulled Juve's lead and returned Inter back in the race for three points!

However, this time, Inter didn't allow Juve to take the lead again. This time, the Nerazzurri turned the tables and made a complete comeback, thanks to Marcus Thuram, who headed the ball in following Dimarco's corner kick 14 minutes before the last ref's whistle!
However, now the Old Lady took their rivals' role and equalized just seven minutes later! And over the younger Thuram - Khephren! Yildiz crossed the ball in from a free kick, and the midfielder practically copied his brother's move, scoring in almost the same way - 3-3!
And when everyone was expecting the end, Juve's sub, Vasilije Adzic thought otherwise, scoring a genuine banger from a distance in the 91st minute and securing the Bianconeri a magnificent triumph, which put them in the leading Serie A position!
