Yanga, who lost 2-0 to the Msimbazi Street side earlier this season, managed to pull one goal back two minutes to the hour-mark through Riticia Nabossa, but that was not enough to stop Simba Queens, who extended their unbeaten run in the league campaign to 17 games.
The two goals by Shikangwa, who was conspicuously missing from Beldine Odemba’s Starlets squad that played two matches at the inaugural FIFA Women’s Series last month, took her season tally to 14, adding to her strike in the reverse tie.
The former Vihiga Queens striker is now five goals behind Yanga’s and league topscorer Jeannine Mukandayisenga, who could not add to her 19 goals in the defeat.
From a Kenyan point of view, the women’s version of the ‘Kariakoo Derby’ saw a total of seven Kenyans feature; five from Simba Queens, and two from Yanga Princess.
Alongside Shikangwa for Simba were fellow Harambee Starlets players including; Corazone Aquino, Elizabeth Wambui, Rose Ingosi, and Fasila Adhiambo.

For Yanga, were: Wincate Kaari and Lydia Akoth, with the latter coming off the bench.
With the win, Simba Queens extended their lead on top of the league standings to seven points, having won 15 matches, and drawn only once.
Yanga, meanwhile, remained second on 39 points, just one ahead of third-placed JKT.
Simba Queens next play against Ruangwa Queens at Azam Complex on Tuesday, 19 May.
