The 27-year-old, who was born in the UK to Kenyan parents and previously featured for the Kenya U23 national team, remains a key figure at Arbour Park both on and off the pitch after extending his stay with the National League South side.

“Slough Town Football Club is delighted to confirm that club captain Henry Ochieng has committed to the Rebels for the 2026/27 season,” read part of the club statement.

Ochieng has one appearance for the Kenya U23 side, having made his debut in 2018 against Mauritius in a U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

Nicknamed “The Rebels,” Slough Town are a semi-professional English club based in Berkshire. Founded in 1890, the club competes in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, and plays its home matches at Arbour Park.

Ochieng joined the club in July 2024 and quickly established himself as one of the standout midfielders in the division.

Following an impressive debut campaign, he swept the club’s major individual honours, winning the 2024/25 Manager’s Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, and Supporters’ Trust Player of the Season awards.

Following the departure of Josh Jackman, the Kenyan midfielder was appointed club captain ahead of the 2025/26 season.

His second campaign was unfortunately disrupted by a season-ending ACL injury suffered during the Emirates FA Cup clash against Enfield Town in October, before he underwent surgery in December. He had made 14 appearances prior to the injury.

Despite the setback, Ochieng has remained an influential figure within the squad, with the club now looking forward to his return during pre-season as he continues his recovery.

To date, Ochieng has made 64 appearances for the Rebels, with his new deal coming as a major boost for the club ahead of the new season.
